Wonderful news from Jambos famoust son: Romeo Jambo Ankora Estilo. He succeeded his bredding test very good and has now Dutch and German licence to breed. Yesterday he won Champion Class with Excellent 1. We are so proud of this wonderful Hovawart male. He is not only a very beautiful dog but has also best character.

These days (today is July 2 nd 2010) we are overwhelmed with joy and pride because of all Romeo’s (‘Rens’ for friends) great successes.
Besides our happiness I often think back of the days, when little puppy Romeo came to us all the way from Sopot in Polen. After over one year of searching for a solid black Hovawart who had the X-factor, we contacted Ulrike in August 2004 after getting hooked of Jambo von Wittlerdamm, Romeo’s father. Ulrike then gave us her trust and was confident in us. So she contacted Dobromila Cwierz who owned Ankora Estilo, Aggy Oldtir’s splashing blond daughter, a Polish Champion female with the kindliest character and great looks. They gave the most gorgeous litter together and yes, we were allowed to have our dreamed black boy. We named him after his parents, so he is called “Romeo Jambo Ankora Estilo”.
The journey to and from Poland in the last novemberweekend of 2004 was a nightmare, but finally we came home happily and healthy with Rens. He behaved wonderful during the journey.
He grew up in a marvellous manner and became almost a fixed copy of his father Jambo, whom we love so much.
Rens is my husbands and my best friend ever since. We never ever had a more fantastic dog. His character is so balanced, he learned everything so fast and easy, it was a gift to be able to train Rens to be a complete Hovawart. He was and is a fast and eager learner, a 100% reliable dog under all conditions. Courageous, smart, easy going, lovely with children and old people, small dogs and cats, he can walk through a crowd of a thousand people without a blink of his eye. He is used regularly as a volunteer to help children who are afraid of dogs to get more confident.
His looks are great, he even becomes more and more beautiful. Rens is such a healthy dog: only twice a year he sees the vet for the necessary vaccinations and defermugatives. His teeth and hips are splendid, his pitch black coat shines naturally, he has no white markings (!) and he needs only little grooming. Everyday he strolls in the woods and fields in our lovely countryside and he takes a quick dive into streaming water every day. Summer and winter. After a good shake he is almost dry when he returns home.
Rens never remains in kennels, he is always free in and around our house. He is the most perfect silent watcher, only takes action when he should so. He has given proof to have the best character in The Netherlands (Ned. Hovawart Club MAG+ test 2006) and Germany (Jugendkörsieger HZD 2006 and passed his Hauptkörung with excellence in 2010.
Look at all the successes he achieved in showings all over Europe. The greatest honours were given to him by several international judges, all Hovawart specialists.
Rens is now 5⅔ years old and what more can I say:
This phenomenal dog is a proven example of serious and reliable international breeding with the top quality dogs out of East and West Europe.
We hope he will give the world many splendid young Hovi’s who will undoubtly have the same characteristics.
