The author of "Job's brothers," Rebecca Gablé (1964) studied Anglistik and Germanistik in Dusseldorf and participated in the study of Anglo-Norman manuscripts. Today is the translator and a freelance writer and lives with her husband near Mönchengladbach in the country.
